If you were to have some extra money all of a sudden, you might buy a car, go on a trip or shopping spree. But not Marty Stout. Marty decided to take his money and join the One Acre Club.

"I've always thought, 'I wish there was a way to be a part of the Motorsports Park Project' and the opportunity just presented itself." Marty said.

Marty works at the GM Corvette Assembly Plant and added that with us having the plant and Museum here in Bowling Green, we really need the Motorsports Park to be a part of it.

"I liked the idea of a Motorsports Park from the first day I heard about it," Marty said. "It's fitting we now have the chance for a track here because everyone that participates at other tracks (like Spring Mountain and Bondurant) recommends it's a gotta do thing. To be able to do that here means a lot." he added.

NCM's Insurance Agent Adam Boca has a few tips to get your car ready for the cold weather season:

1. Make sure you have the right oil for colder temperatures. As oil gets cold, it gets thick and doesn't always keep your engine lubricated properly. Check your owner's manual for guidance on what kind is recommended.

2. Can you see clearly? Wiper blades work effectively for about a year. Is it time for new ones? While you are at it, fill up your windshield washer fluid (don't use water as it will freeze).

3. Check your tire pressure to get the best traction. You will usually lose one pound per square inch when the temperature drops by 10 degrees.

4. Aim for a 50-50 mix of antifreeze and water inside your radiator to prevent it from freezing.

5. Prepare an emergency kit including a blanket, extra boots/gloves/warm clothes, ice scraper, flashlight, flares, jumper cable, first aid kit.

6. Keep the gas tank as full as you can to prevent the gas lines from freezing.

Corvettes for Chip is an organization of Corvette enthusiasts who host an annual Corvette car show to increase the awareness of a blood disease called Amyloidosis and donate the net proceeds to the Chip Miller Charitable Foundation for Amyloidosis Research. In the show's first four year over $25,000 has been raised.
