Watch our Expansion Plans Come to Life

We are excited to be at the verge of a monumental change for the Museum as we plan for the future and expand. The ground breaking for our 47,000 square-foot expansion is planned for April 2008 as part of the C5/C6 Bash. Our campaign efforts are in full swing and NCM ambassadors and supporters are busy sharing ways that enthusiasts can help.

We have created a video to showcase our expansion plans to assist in sharing what is in store for members and for the 140,000 visitors that come to the Museum each year. Our plans to enhance the visitor experience will also further our mission of education, preservation and celebration. Check out our online video at: http://store.corvettemuseum.com/services/building.asp  Thank you for the support!

November is Military Appreciation Month

All military personnel, firemen, police officers and their immediate families will receive “Free Admission” during the entire month of November. All branches including active, retired and reserve members will be honored with free admission when presenting a military or service ID.

In conjunction with Veterans Day on November 11th, we are offering free admission to honor the many men and women who fight and protect our country and our freedom. “We are truly a blessed nation and our military provide the safety we have to enjoy our American privileges,” states NCM Executive Director, Wendell Strode. “Corvette is an American icon and we invite these special individuals and their family members to experience a tour of the Museum dedicated to America’s favorite sports car.”

Alaskan Cruise Raffle Winner Drawn

Steve Parrish from Jeffersontown, KY – ticket number 184 was drawn last week as the winner of our Alaskan Cruise for two!

Thanks to everyone who participated in this raffle fundraiser. Steve was surprised and excited when we made the call to let him know he was drawn and looks forward to enjoying the trip with other Corvette enthusiasts.

You can still be a part of the cruise excitement by reserving your spot. Get more information at: http://www.ncmcruz.com

Corvette Racing Receives Post Season Accolades

The checkered flag at the conclusion of the Monterey Sports Car Championships at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca on Oct. 21 marked the end of the 2007 American Le Mans Series season, but Chevrolet's factory road racing team kept on winning.

Two members of Corvette Racing received special recognition awards in post-season ceremonies: Corvette Racing driver Ron Fellows was voted the Most Popular Driver for the fourth consecutive year, and Ray Gongla, crew chief for the No. 4 Compuware Corvette C6.R, was honored as the GT1 Crew Chief of the Year. The ALMS Most Popular Driver award is determined by the fans in online voting. The GT1 Crew Chief of the Year award is selected by the pit lane and technical staffs from IMSA, the sanctioning body for ALMS events.

I see they have the 2008 Events posted now and there are no C1, C2 or C3 events scheduled.

These is nothing planned at the Museum from late May to late August, so we can plan a C3VR Club event in the summer.

Anyone interested? How about Father's Day weekend?
