Five Days to Pre-Register for the Pace Car Event

Pre-registration for the Pace Car event will close in five days, and you have until Sunday, September 16 to get in on this year’s exciting reunion! All Corvette owners are welcome as this is not an event exclusive to Pace Car owners only.

Join us at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as we kick-off with a full day of activities at the track prior to a special caravan to the Museum! You don’t want to miss an informative seminar on the NCRS by Dick Whittington or enjoy an evening with Corvette Hall of Fame member and retired GM Executive Jim Perkins. Jim went to bat time and again for America's sports car as planners worried over budgets and resources and whether the GM of the next century had room in the stable for such a thoroughbred. He kept the flame burning and today we have the Fifth Generation Corvette. All pre-registered event participants will receive a commemorative dash plaque and personalized event badge – so register before the September 16 deadline. View the complete event agenda and find out more at: http://www.corvettemuseum.com/registration/pace/info.shtml

Pick Up the Corvette Bible – By Mike Yager

Mike Yager’s new book, “Corvette Bible” published by Krause Publications, takes readers through Corvette’s 56-year history with unmatched attention to technical details, and an innovative delivery of insider tips for buying and selling.

Each model year in Corvette history is explored, through stunning color photos, historical and production information, buyer’s rating graphs and exclusive author observations in “Mike Yager Says” columns. Mike is the chief cheerleader and founder of Mid America Motorworks and a past chairman of the National Corvette Museum. For each Corvette Bible purchased from Mid America Motorworks by January 1, 2008, Mike will donate $5 to the National Corvette Museum and personally sign each copy sold. Give a Historic Gift that will Last

Give a gift this Christmas to the Corvette enthusiast in your life! Every true enthusiast will cherish a historic Flint Brick. The GM Assembly Plant where the 300 1953 Corvettes were made in Flint, Michigan was razed in 2003.

Thanks to General Motors, we obtained these preserved bricks to offer as collectibles honoring the Corvette's heritage. Museum members can order one of these historic bricks for $100 and can even select a special numbered brick up to five (5) digits. Non-members may order a special numbered brick for $150 and will also receive a one-year complimentary individual membership to the NCM. Find out more about these special pieces of history by visiting our website at: https://store.corvettemuseum.com/services/flintbricks.asp or call (800) 53-VETTE.
