Beginning September 14, tours of Bowling Green Assembly will be temporarily closed as they begin preparations to build the next-generation Chevrolet Corvette. We can't yet announce when the plant will reopen to the public, but can tell you it will be well worth the wait.

Mark your calendars for the 2nd weekend in November as we host our 5th Annual Vets 'n Vettes event.

We kick off the event on Thursday with our American Warrior Recognition program. Military personnel and their guests will travel from Fort Knox and Fort Campbell to enjoy a museum tour, lunch and road tour in a Corvette. We are accepting volunteers to drive our military guests, so you can sign-up on our event registration.

The remainder of the weekend is packed with road tours, a poker run, Military & Corvette trivia contest and participation in the Bowling Green Veterans Day Parade.

Former NCM Board Chairman Larry Martin and wife Peggy caused quite a stir at the 2011 NCM Bash when they came forward during the Winner's Circle banquet, pledging $15,000 to buy an acre for the Motorsports Park. They were joined on stage by many other couples wishing to do the same.

“Performance is a part of the heritage of the Corvette, and having the Motorsports Park here, near the Museum, will help to promote that aspect of the Corvette experience to the world. Owners of these cars will get a chance to experience what these cars are capable of, learning with the help of instructors, in a safe environment. That’s why Peggy and I invested in the one acre club… because we believe in motorsports… we believe in the Motorsports Park, and we believe in the Museum.”
