Congratulations “Build Your Own” Raffle Winner!

Bill Franks from Ridgeland, MS was drawn this afternoon as the winner of the “Build Your Own” Z06 raffle!

Bill had winning ticket number 030 and purchases tickets continuously on our raffle fundraisers. Bill was miles up in the sky on a flight when we placed the winning call, and his wife Beverly has sent text message and phone messages to let him know the exciting news! She said Bill always knew he would win someday. Thanks to everyone for making this raffle another great fundraiser – you could be the next winner and have several ways to win a new Corvette. Corvette Racing Fans…Its Time to Vote

The nomination process has closed and voting is under way for this year's “From the Fans” award, one of the most coveted honors in the American Le Mans Series paddock.

This award is presented annually at the season-ending banquet in Monterey to the person or group who has made the greatest contribution to the American Le Mans Series and sports car racing during the past year. Doug Fehan and Gary Pratt are in the running along with Ron Fellows and Johnny O’Connell in the “Favorite Driver” field. Autoweek.com’s “Our Take” on the 2008 Model Corvette

“Not so many years ago, Chevy made a huge deal out of the Z06 hitting 405 hp. Now the base car makes 436 hp, and it’s bolted into such a well-mannered and well-built chassis (no creaks and rattles here), with such a beautiful body, that there really is no competition at this price.

Sure, Vettes always have been fast, but the new one is a real stormer.” Read on here: http://www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070924/FREE/70924004/1528/newsletter01
