LIFETIME MEMBER RAY QUINLAN PASSES

Ray Quinlan, Lifetime member #1 passed away early this morning at age 81. Ray was a strong NCM supporter and Corvette enthusiast and was instrumental in the building of the Museum. Ray was the first person to donate a Corvette for display, and offered his 1953 Corvette to encourage the founders to move forward with building a Museum. A special tribute page has been created on our site to honor Ray, and an online guestbook for thoughts from friends and enthusiasts is available via the webpage. A special memorial brick fund has been initiated to commemorate and honor Ray and his support of the Museum and Corvette. Information on how to participate in the brick memorial fund and the tribute guestbook is available here: http://www.corvettemuseum.com/library-archives/quinlan/index.shtml

WINNER DRAWN ON 2004 LEMANS BLUE Z06

Congratulations to Jerome Masters Jr. of Tucker Georgia who was drawn as the winner of the 2004 Commemorative Edition LeMans Blue Z06! Jerome was contacted via telephone during the Z06 Fest banquet where ticket # 966 was drawn. “I am 68 years old and have always wanted a Corvette since the first and only time I rode in one back in 1958,” said Masters. “Back in the spring I looked at buying one, but it was either a divorce or the Corvette, so I decided I had better not buy the Corvette.” Mr. Masters will be coming in later today to take his first look at his new Corvette and the official delivery is scheduled for tomorrow. Photos will be made available via the NCM website raffle winner page following the delivery. Thanks to everyone who participated in the raffle. The support is greatly appreciated. For more information on our raffles and the lucky winners who participated, visit our website links at: http://www.corvettemuseum.com/raffle/index.shtml and http://www.corvettemuseum.com/raffle_winners/index.shtml
