Who is going to be in Bowling Green for the National Corvette Caravan in June 2003?
Norsky is trying to organize a C3VR Members meeting.
Please reply to this message if you plan to be in BG during the event.
Thanks!

Hey Gang!
Although the C3VR Caravan plans were cancelled, if you're still interested in being part of the 3rd National Corvette Caravan (NCC) heading for Bowling Green for the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Corvette at the National Corvette Museum you can still join in by checking out the NCC home site for all the national details.
After completing the 50th CARAVAN REGISTRATION form contact the regional coordinator for your state for lodging information particulars for enroute overnight stops. If you're lucky they may also have some info on lodging in B.G. as rooms are in VERY short supply already! So the sooner you sign up the better your chances are for not having to sleep in your car!
From what I can tell so far you're on your own for finding lodging on your return trip home, but the regional coordinators may have some knowledge of groups returning together.
If at all possible it would be nice to have a C3VR gathering sometime during the event. Even if it were just meeting over a cooler next to someone's car (
) it would be fun to meet fellow C3VR members. Sound off if you're already planning on being there!
I'll be arriving in B.G. Thursday afternoon/evening, the 26th, with the massed up Minnesota/Wisconsin/Iowa/Illinois/Indiana caravan. I most likely will be heading north and west sometime Sunday afternoon, the 29th. This will be my first visit to B.G. and I'm really looking forward to it.
Hope to see you at "The Big Bash"...!!!

Got an e-mail update today from the NCM saying that todate there have been 6,000 Corvettes registered in the caravans - WOW...!!!
Having never been to B.G. before I'll have to defer to "a veteran" to pick a time and place for C3VR'ers to get together. Don't know how many are planning on being in Nashville on Friday, but that might be a better day than Saturday or Sunday as there will probably be fewer people in B.G. to work over/under/around/through.

The latest update I have received from the NCM announced that registrations for the caravan have topped 7,000...!!! I have got to believe out of that many there has to be more than just two of us from C3VR! Anyone else going to be in B.G. in June!?!?

The update I received today from the NCM announced that registrations for the caravan have topped 8,000...!!!
Come on Gang! With over 2,000 members here at C3VR I have to believe that there will be more than just 30 of us there...!!!
If you haven't updated your reply with when you'll be in the area and where you'll be staying please do so as soon as you can. So far it's looking like a toss-up between Friday and Saturday for getting together. Also still looking for ideas on where to meet. Have received a couple, but could use some more.

Yuppers. We'll be there - making it the family vacation. Hey, the kid wanted to go! (She's been successfully brainwashed at 8 years old dontchatink?) <ggg> We'll have the '70 and '87 in the caravan from Maryland. I'm actually going to lead the first part from Annapolis Md. :-) ~Juliet

I will be there Thursday evening to Sunday. I am staying at the Nashville Sheraton. I am not bringing my vette though. I think 9 hours is too much to drive it.

My wife and I will be coming in on Thursday with the Eastern Pa. Caravan. We'll be staying until Saturday and then will go to Bowling Green for the Sunday activities. If you haven't been to Bowling Green or haven't came in with one of the caravans you will be in for a treat.

I will be in Bowling Green for the celebration. I was in the Historic Motorama and my 79 is now on display at the Museum. So, I have to go so I can visit my baby...
