A member from the Corvette Forum started this cruise to honor the victims fromthe terrorist attacks on Sept. 11 It is open to EVERYONE and not just Vettes. It will start in California, go to Bowling Green, then to the Pentagon and end at the WTC. A flag wil be carried across the counrty and placed at Ground zero on 07/04/02. I will post the link and hopefully it works. It is called Stars & Stripes Tour

I've already signed up months ago....now I just HOPE to have Destiny done, but it don't look like that's going to happen. Really bummed about that, but at least my honey's got one so at least I can ride with him holding a flag. I've also told my club, so I hope to round up more people for my area. I think it's only like me right now. |biggrin|

Good deal Darla. I'm the PA Coordinator for the event and I set up directions for the people coming out of Ohio to visit the PA crash site

Great! I didn't know you were into this too! Say, I've got an |idea| to bounce off you. I was thinking about where a good handoff point would be for us here...Ronald Regan Library in Simi Valley came to mind. Do you think I should email my coordinator and mention it and see if it's close enough to do?

Definately email him/her. This thing is not etched into stone until it starts at the Canadian border. Even then, it is up to modification as people see fit. You can never be too sure about how the local state transportation agencies are going to do their road construction.
