My god... yesterday went to a Dutch meeting-rally... there was a acceleration test for which you had to subscribe ahead... so i didn't got the chance... damned.Angry

But the weather was fine for the time of the year so we had a great day ! Tongue

now.. the tests : from 0 to 100 km/h ( 62.5 mph  ) what a bunch of amateurs ! OuchCryLOLLOL

Ok, the C6ZO6 Shocked did it in 4.7 sec  but... it was with a Porsche club and them Porsche Turbo won in 4.4 sec....EmbarrassedDead

Seems to me that they were really babying thier cars. I like the idea though. I wonder if our club would get into something like this? Great idea. Would be good bragging rights for the next year.

I agree they were babying them...especially the C6 Z06. It should have made it in less than 4 secs.

Woooops !....Sorry buddy. First time I watched it, I didn't think much of it either. Didn't comment 'cause I didn't want to offend you, but it looks like fun. At least you don't have to stop before the end of the ship comes up.LOL

Looks like fun, but it does seem they were taking it a bit easy.
That would be a good day.

If they ain't smokin, you must be jokin.

Translation- If you don't spin and smoke your tires, you aren't serious about seeing how fast you can accelerate your Vette.

Maybe we can try this in the hotel parking lot at Hot Springs in April and see what happens.Big%20smile

that's right... i have a powerbox in the car... the more i "smoke" , the more my 0-60 time..... Best times are with a bit spinning at launch but goose the pedal to get grip as soon as possible.... It's simple i think , there's just room to play in 1ste gear under let's say 3000 rev's... once above you have the torque and HP , so you need grip... Wink

Not terribly impressive - As they say here in NASCAR land - keep the foot down until you see the ambulance lights.....

Tire smoke isn't the fastest way 0-60, but who cares! Goodyear will make more...

Geez nothing exciting going on there. No good burn outs, no high revs, no good looking scantilly clad women. What a sad day to race cars. But then again you did say this wasn't a Vette sponsered event huh....!

Thanks for posting this up Norbert! I still liked seeing the cars anyway.
