Please remember to fill up every night so that we start off each day with a full tank of Gas!  :-)

 

Monday Aug 31 hotel the Microtel in Hattiesburg, MS. located at Exit 65b (I think)?  :-)    

 

On Tuesday, September 1st,We will leave from the Microtel in Hattiesburg around 8:00 a.m., our first stop will be in Meridian, MS. Exit 154b to a new Mall on the Eastbound side.  This is about a 90 mile run so we should be here about 9:15 to 9:30 depending on traffic, should be a 20 to 30 minute stop.  Leave by 10:00 a.m. The next stop will be in Tuscaloosa, AL.  Exit 73 off of IH 20E/IH59N to McFarland Blvd  turn right, go right 1/3rd mi. on the left is the entrance to McFarland Mall  There are several gas stations in the area, Exxon, RaceWay, Shell, BP, Sam's Club, Super Walmart.  This should be about a 91 mile stretch, so should be there by 11:30 a.m. We will have  lunch here!  There are a variety of restaurants at this stop! Leave here at 2:00 p.m. our over night is in Pell City, AL Exit 158  this is  85 mile run, if we go straight thru, but we'll hit the loop around Birmingham. This would be about an hour and a half run so that would put us about 3:30 p.m.  We have rooms blocked at the Hampton Inn and the Holiday Inn Express in Pell City, AL.

 

On Wednesday, Sept. 2nd, directly to Bowling Green we will leave from the Holiday Inn Express parking lot. The Group going to Bowling Green will leave the hotel at 9:00 a.m. this will give everyone time to see the others off, check out and get breakfast. Group A going on to Bowling Green will then Jump back on IH 20 west bound, to IH 65N, we'll make a quick stop in Gardendale to pick up participants at Exit 271 at the Super Wal-Mart parking lot, this should be about 10:00 a.m.  This should be about a 44 mile run, if you should need gas, or a pit stop there is a BP, Chevron, RaceWay, and Shell in addition to the Super Wal-Mart where we are meeting the group from Montgomery.  :-)  We should leave here by 10:30 a.m. We'll make a quick stop in Athens, at Exit 351 in case there is anyone from the Huntsville area that wishes to join the caravan and we need to stretch!  :-)  This is an 80 mile run, so we should be here about 11:40.  There is a Cracker Barrel, Burger King, Lawler's BBQ, McDonald's, Waffle House, Wendy's  and more.  Leave here by 1:00, from Cracker Barrel parking lot. We'll make a quick pit stop in Tennessee at Exit 112, to stretch and gas up before reaching the NCM!!! This should be about a 127 mile stretch we should reach here about 3:00, stop for 15 to 20 minutes leave by 3:30. We should cross into Kentucky about 3:40 to 3:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 2nd, and arrive at the NCM by about 4:30 p.m. if traffic conditions are perfect!  :-)  This run should be about 37 miles

Just found out i will be making the trip solo as Greg had his leave denied. this also leaves one opening for the tour available. guess i may stay a little longer now and visit my mother n law in Lexington and go on up to Ohio for a short visit.

Shoot! I wish you had two spots open!  I want to take my son who's never been to the factory, but I can't find any open slots. D'oh!

When we all get to BG the first night you maybe lucky enough to find another ticket (at least it will make a starting conversation at dinner)

Lora and I will be arriving on Thursday the 3rd and departing on Sunday the 6th.
