I checked the motels in Cave City the other night. Some were full; some had a few rooms left. Probably most rooms are saved for the caravans.
I am thinking of camping at Mammoth Caves park.
Pizza Hut in Cave City works for me.

dwright said: I was thinking of doing that in 2009, but they planned to take 3 days to travel about 500 miles.
I didn't have enough vacation time to do that, so I went home on Sunday and then drove to the Museum on Thursday.
It was great to be at the Museum and watch all the caravans arrive.
I will be going in 2014, but I'm not sure I will sign up for the Caravan.
I am signed up for the caravan. I will be coming with the Wisconsin, U.P. group. Driving from Milwaukee to Effingham and visiting with Mike and the gang and then leaving the next day for BG! Rooms are priceie but you gotta expect that the merchants wanna make some bucks on all us Corvette Nuts. See you all at the 2014 Gathering. By the way I am also an Ambassador for my car club here in Milwaukee, Badger State Vette's!!

I think that the first time I met the C3VR group was at the caravan in 2009. I remember Butch and "the pooper". I stayed in BG but went to Cave City to meet them at the motel!

Hey VetteCountry,
Can you start another thread for a meet and greet at Pizza Hut in Cave City on Friday night, 8/29/14, so we can make a list of who will attend?

I'm making this trip after all. Are we having our group hook up with any other group leaving from Carlisle? I'll sign up as soon as I know which region to join, let me know.
