Yesterday evening my wife and I attended a ZZTop concert at Wolf Trap Park outside of Washington, DC in Virginia.  This is what we saw parked outside the pavilion and my wife almost climbed a fence to get to it and have her photo taken with it...

There were three Batmobiles built for the television series by George Barris.  The original that he sold by auction for something like $4+ million earlier this year was the original built out of the Lincoln Futura show car.  There were two built out of full size Fords from the period.  Each car was built for filming in different conditions.  Some time ago one was purchased by someone in Northern Virginia...this has to be that car.

My wife is a big Adam West fan...to her he is the only true Batman.  She squealed when she saw this and simply had to have her photo taken with it.

I did take other pics...

Vette(s): White '79 Corvette. It's a driver.

Great car! That's awesome!!

In one of the photos I noticed that the outer door handles are similar to our C3s, but the Batmobile's has a key lock built in to it.

Nice job 'slinger!  Thanks for posting those! Cool Thumbs Up

Here's a link to a place in Indiana that is licensed to build replicas. Wow! I was thinking they were around $200K, but I see now they have them as low as $80K!

Thanks Bruce!!!
I know alot of people are freakin over the C7 taillights, but one of the reason's I like them is it makes the rear of that car look like this Batmobile design...... just saying.
Once again kewl pictures Bruce..... heh so how was ZZtop?
