Got to werk today, and see this 20 foot long monster in the shop....what was it, you say? Welllll....how-sa-bout a SWEEEEET '64 Cadillac Fleetwood 75 series, 429 engined, 9 passenger sedan? Not a limo, but sure looks like one. I dint have a camera, so I'm taking it tomorrow for pics.
But for now, it looks almost zackly like this un....same color, too.

Maybe it has an Elvis connection?  Or at least Bruce Springsteen sang a song about it.

It's NOT PINK! It's "Salmon", according to GM. Wink
I did get some pics of it today, but it's up on a lift, with a stand holding the engine up, so I couldn't get any shots of the topside.
Only history the guy gave us was he had gone to a dealership back in the '80's to buy a particular big block '69 Chevelle. There was some sort of engine problem with the Chevelle, and he saw this Cad sitting there....so he bought it instead. I'm sure it was in a little better shape at that time than it is now, but, this thing is failry clean, and the body is arrow straight. Has a little rust around the fender skirts, but that's it. Interior is clean, but worn. Shows only 70+ thou on the odo. It has had at least one repaint, but the original color was Salmon. Strange color combo with the grey-ish interior, but it works. It's been sitting since '01, so it's got some dust accumulated on it, but...so do I....
Car is fully loaded, rear heat-A/C, 'letric everything, remote mirrors(cable operated), rear seat foot rests, jump seats in the middle that fold down from the back of the front seat, for nine passengers total. Has an 8-track player mounted in the glove box, even...with tapes! LOL
Engine fires right up and sounds good...no knocks/rattles, etc. Trans was toast....I'll take care of that, tho. Wink I can't wait to go drive this monster! Pull up to some yuppie in a beemer and say....."Pardon me, but do you have any Grey Poupon?" LOL

Interesting how the rear doors drop another two inches or so deeper into the sill for entry.  I used to have a few Caddy brochures of their "extended" length line.  The factories must have lost money on those biggies!
