The new Corvette is one of them from what my "tuner" guy said. So far the only way I heard of getting around retuning the ECU is using a "piggyback" plug in unit to temporarily retune the ECU. 

I think after the warranty period is over then it's fair game. Most people do wait until the factory warranty is over anyways. 

So if this goes though (which I doubt will) everyone should once they are done with their beat up, blown up cars go ahead and call the manufactures and tell them to come pick up their junk and charge them storage fees. It's bad enough we have "big brother" on our arse's, we don't need the auto manufactures telling us what we can and can't do to our personal property.
