I have to tell you guys about a tread on the Dodge site that I have been frequenting while I am building the "non corvette" car I am working on. Someone started a thread about owning anything other then a chrysler product was a stupid thing to do. Some of the guys on that site are so bias to only chrysler products its sickening. I hadnt told anyone there that I owned anything other than a dodge, not because I was ashamed but because its an A-Body site. Now if anyone here remembers one of my first posts on this C3 site, I told the story of me not liking vettes until a few years ago when I had to work on a friends C3,  then I just fell in love with driving them. Well, I had to respond to this guys post, so I told the story of driving a vette and falling in love with them even tho I had always been a Dodge Person. I also let them know that anything can be made to run fast because if you throw enough money at any car you can build any amount of horsepower you wanted! I told them that if you let your mind open to just enjoying any car you could become very satisfied with anything. Then I topped off the story by posting a pic of the 72 in the thread! Then I waited to get blasted. Its one of those sites that a few are always stepping out of line. Well not one person blasted me or the post and I had 2 members(guess they didnt want anyone to know) actually pm me to say the car was awesome, and one guy actually responded in the thread and called it "one sweet piece of fiberglass"!  On a Dodge site! Yee-Haw

I can tell you that this C3VR site is still the friendliest site I have ever belonged to. I enjoy my Dodge site and the information I get is great, but this site will always be home!
Thanks for letting me babble on here. I miss being on here but by the time I end my day and sit down to check up on the computer, well as Ebo would tell you "he musta fell asleep". Yep Ebo, I do that on the dodge site as well as here!

UP YOURS PAL!!!

I didn't want to get all warm and fuzzy.  I love the rims you have on that car and the color!  Only orange car was a '67 Camaro.  It was hugger orange.  Your's is in a whole different class, just beautiful.  I wanted to switch out the original rims on mine but once I polished mine they really did look pretty good.  Besides I can throw the money from the rims into something more important like a stereo.Thumbs Up

I know what you mean. I used to go on Cor_____ Forum and there was always some wise ass on there and there was all kinds of arguing, I don't need that. This site is and always was very friendly and helpful. I don't go on that other site anymore!

Rodney, that was very nice. I'm glad you weren't blasted. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion (except ebo), but it can be done without offense. C3VR is a class site with class people!

I'll go ya one better....
I'm also on a Cadillac forum, since I'm also quite found of Caddyracks. We have a guy over there, long time member, high post count.....does NOTHING but bitch & moan about Cads...and he's got 3 of them. Whazzupwiddat? Wacko
On my Goldwing forum, we have a feller that werks for Ford Motor Co in Detroit....die-hard Fordnatic. Anytime I post anything about any Corvette, he's right there. Not really bashing, just trash talk.
My personal timeline was this...
I started out a huge Chrysler guy. Had a '66 Hemi Charger, and thought Chryslers were da just the cat's Meow.
Then I moved on to....Ford. Couldn't get enough. Had a sweet 63 1/2 Galaxy 500 w/427 Medium riser...undefeated in street racing. Then on to the Musturds I went. Had 7 early Mustangs('64 1/2-'67) when I moved to Dallas in '86.
Then....I got smart.....now I'm all GM....LOL
2 Corvettes--2 Cad'lacs--1 Suburban...

To each his/her own...it's all Gud! Thumbs Up

EXACTLY! Its all good. I'm happy to seen anyone driving any muscle car on the streets. I don't car what brand it is. I like models from each of the big 3 and shoe-boxes and early rods etc etc etc. Shoot, I want one of each!

My Christmas present to ME! Bought Sat 11-30-2013. 72, 350 4 spd, Silver with blue interior...Can't you just hear Pablo Cruz playing in the background?

 LOL LOL LOL
Rodney...that ONLY werks on Corvettes....LOL
But...since you asked..the Hemi Charger was green....the Galaxy was crap brown(also had a '67 Galaxy 500 that wuz blue/white), the Musturds were multicolored...primer grey, green, blue, white....take yer pick! LOL  Had a '75 Torino that was black with an all white interior...pretty rare combo.
The Caddys? Mama's am pearl white, mine am green. The 'Burban is a custom two-tone Blue/tan.
So THERE!

LOL

There are only two types of vehicles, those with tops that open and those that don't!  I prefer the ones that open.  Even my mountaineer has a moonroof(no Joel, I haven't mooned from it, to the delight of all)

Vette(s): 1972 conv, 4-speed, 350, 200hp, numbers match, rally wheels, war bonnett yellow w/white top. good condition, nice driver.

I once owned a Galaxie 500 myself. Ran well and did me fine for a long time. Tranny bit the dust after 200+ thousand miles.  Had a Pontiac J model also. Mostly Chevys. A couple GMC trucks too.  I'm not fussy. If you let me drive along with you, I'll accept the ride you choose. Joel, I'd really like an XLR if you have one in storage. Thumbs Up
