Thanks for the link John. My salesman at the Jeep/Dodge end of West Herr Auto Group said he doesn't even have pricing from them yet. Build outs are suppose to happen in the next couple weeks. He said it was a complete disaster for the Challenger orders last year. I'm still waiting on him to shoot me a price on trade in. He can also sell Corvettes so I'm waiting on a figure for that.
Another Chevy dealership is jerking my chain. I refuse to do the "dance." He assumes I have the GM Supplier Discount thing we got at the Tonawanda engine plant tour. So he insulted me with a trade in price well below blue book. Basically junk price.
So if the Challenger thing doesn't work out I'm thinking maybe I should just take a ride to Jersey to Kerbeck's. Seems like they are more customer friendly. Crap like this really takes the fun out of car shopping.

I emailed Dave@kerbeck.com at 2:00am on a restless night with my supplier number and what I wanted. The next morning I had an agreement back and overnighted a deposit. That weekend it went to 3000 (order accepted for production). There orders literally go to the front of the line.

Now you got me thinking.
So was his deal better than your local dealer?
Was the Supplier discount substantial?
Do you have to go out to NJ to pick it up?

Only one local would accept it but he did not have any more C7 allocations.
At that time Supplier & Credit Union discounts were $200 over invoice.
Now Credit Union is $750 off whatever deal you can cut. Not sure what supplier is. Big dealers are discounting to about the same deal or better.
I did museum pickup at Bowling Green.

At the end of the tour she told us if there was any problems with the dealers to call her or send email because she is on the road a lot and she would take car of it. The dealer doesn't want to do it because they don't make any money. She specifically said go to any GM dealer and they will give you the discount. If they don't call me and I will take care of it.
Maybe she liked our group better than your group!

Actually the "old" program netted a dealer over $3,000. GM paid a percentage back to the dealer for participating and they still had their normal "holdback" on the car. Dealers are franchisees, participation is their choice. C7 's are allocated to dealers according to sales of previous C6 and sending a mechanic for training...$$. A smaller dealer with few C7 allocations (if any at all) would hold out for a buyer to pay sticker price.
