Hmmmn, whilst cruzin thru EBAY last nite I ran across this very "special" Caddy. It is a nice lookin car inside an out. But, I do have intrigue with the 1983 Corvette engine though. I don't recall ever seeing one of those.

50 Caddy

I sent the seller a message asking about the car, but I haven't received a response just yet. I'll give ya'll an update "if" they reply....

He's right about one thing. That 83 Vette engine shouldn't smoke.Wacko Jeffm2007-03-18 06:14:16

I just received this reply. Apperently he is selling it for someone else. I think it is an honest mistake but who knows.....

supergravi is the seller.

" I am having the owner verify - apparently there is no way this is a 83 Vet engine."

Gee thanx, Tux...you made them modify the description...

"This is not a Corvette engine - I had the owner verify. It is a 350 Chevrolet Engine with a 700R Transmission."

I luv them old Caddys...this one looks a little worse for wear tho...for that kind o $$$, anyway. The "Continental Kit" ruins it for me...and the cheap steering wheel cover...

You would like a buddy of mines. He has a 55 limo that he bought in 75. He has totally restored it bumper to bumper. It is a sharp piece of work.

We was talkin about the car last week. He told me that he was cruzin through Ohio and spied a 55 limo sittin in a yard so he stopped. He went to the door and some dude yells "Hey Ox somebody wantz ta see yer car.

My buddies nick name is... you guessed it Ox. Now thatz funny rite thar... I don't care who ya are...

I missed a chance to buy a '48 a long time ago...for $50!!! I luved that car!! It had the small rear "fins" like this '50 does, and a steering wheel that was about 24" in diameter!! Had to have it...no P/S on that one. But, alas, I was only about 16-17 at the time, and the job I had at the time didn't pay enough for such luxuries...

I have been drivin Cadderacks for a long time now. I've always had at least one in the driveway for at least the last 20 years. A couple were turds, but most were really gud cars. Speaking of turds...just a word of caution to all ya'll...stay away from the '82-'83 Eldos...junk. They were then, they are now.
Now, the '70 Coupe D-Evil...500CID demons!!!

Now he says it has an 84 Vette engine in there. 84 Vette had Crossfire injection, this has a carb. So other changes were made.

Yep here is what he sent to me:

"I apologize for the confusion, but the guy who installed the engine for the owner called back and said it is in fact a Corvette engine - 1984."
