Topic: BBQ - Thanks LukesVette
in Forum: North East Region Events

Lots of cool Vettes, great people, yummy food, couldn't ask for better.
Thanks Paul (LukesVette) for an excellent afternoon and get-together. Thanks for sharing your wonderful BBQ abilities.
The food was great!
Please pass on a "thank you" to your lovely wife and children for their hospitality and opening up your home to us and helping make this as nice as could be.
It was good to see some familiar faces again and great to meet several folks.

I would also like to pass on my thanks,I really enjoyed the barbecue
great vettes, greater people and great food. The caravan to the cruise nite was also a nice finish to a enjoyable day. Paul you
really outdid yourself, my wife enjoyed the the day too!! Thank your wife for all the work she did

Folks,
This was sincerely my pleasure and I truly mean it in terms of making this an annual event. I'd also like to thank Adam, our El Presidente, for donating prizes for the trivia contest. Also a big thanks to the big guy upstairs for blowing the rainclouds away!!!
My family and I honestly enjoyed spending the day with the C3VR members and the Vettes were really the hit of the neighborhood!! The neighbors are still talking about it You are always welcome and our home is your home!!
And thanks for bringing along all of the salads and yummy deserts. The kids are still bouncing off the walls.
So, what are we doing in the fall???
All the best,
Paul

Paul, just because you're probably the first to host a BB at your beautiful house for C3VR members, (which included me) and your beautiful wife Krisann and the girls were the perfect hostess's, (who obviously planned it all) just because it was everything you bragged about + more, the fact that we were made to feel like family and the Corvette assault on the unsuspecting neighborhood and cruise night participants was a lot of fun, doesn't' mean I don't have a few complaints.
The trivia game was fixed ! I provided precise answerers to some vague & difficult questions, not even Duntov could have answered them. Let me remind you that no matter what you think, the difference between a 70 & a 71 Vette is a year ! While I'm at it, the guys who brought their women along with them, their plan worked, the reason they left you guys pretty much alone, was because they were too busy annoying & picking on me !
All kidding aside, the BB was outstanding It was a perfect day spent with really outstanding people. If I didn't thank you yesterday, I'm thanking you today. Oh, I almost forgot, there's not enough ways that I can thank you for the 23 + years that you've given to your country and protecting our freedoms.
God Bless you and your wonderful family.
We also say Thank you and had a wonderful time with everyone. Paul and family did an outstanding job on the BBQ and hospitality.
The cruise was quick to the show but worth the drive. Oppsss.. Just a tad fast for us on the corners. Lucky there's a lot of vettes going the right way.
Here are my photo's of the BBQ and cruise. Enjoy and keep up the hool la hoops ladies.
Make sure you start on page 4 on 703 photo and hit previous. I put down Start LukesVette BBQ for headliner.
I couldn't agree more, & I can't thank Paul & his family enough. It was a great day at a great place. Paul & his family rolled out the red carpet & graciously opened their home to us.
The food was great, the company was better & Mother Nature gave us a perfect spring day. Fortunately, my chouffer Cookie (Warbird) was there to entertain the women while we talked about our cars.
Unfortunately, my car is still on jackstands & it looks like I'll be doing the front suspension before I get the engine back in. The car show @ Lowes was a great way to end the night.
I also want to thank Mike (Iron 82) for being our unofficial photographer for the event & Adam who brought the C3VR Storefront with him.
Hopefully the next time we meet I'll be able to bring my ride.
Thanks again to Paul & his family!!!
Anthony

Mike (Iron 82) I forgot to comb my eyebrows back over my head for the pictures, and I can't hold my breath (suck in stomach) for too long, how much do you charge to airbrush some hair on me, and remove about 45 lbs. from my fat A_ _ Will I get a club discount ?
BTW great pictures !

Paul;
