I was at Carlisle on Saturday....first time....WOW... I did not know that there were sooo many Corvettes in one place. Pictures doesn't do it justice.....but just a couple to try.

This is part of the cars that are lined up for the Corvette parade....there were 4 across on one side of the drive, and 2 across on the other....and they stretched for as far as you can see. Also, all of the white tents/covers on the left were vendors and swap meet.

These two were taken up near the auction tent, just looking out over the Corvette parking area. These were the vettes that were driven into the "show". Most of the roads had cars moving on them at all times. ALL of the cars inside the fairgrounds were vettes, REGULAR cars had to park outside.

Hope these help.....I could have taken 1,000's of pictures, but was overwhelmed.....

Vette(s): 1979, 350sb, as my kids affectionately call it "shit brown" Corvette purchased in 1996. 84,000+ miles. Not a show car, but I love her just the same.
Martin:
THanks for the pics of Carlisle. Gives those of us who have never been a glimpse at what we're missing. I mentioned going to Carlisle next year to my wife and I got the big eye roll |no-no| as if to say, "why would I want to go there."

Anyway, thanks again, and hopefully some of the others who went will be kind enough to post some of their own pics as well.

Couldn't make the trip this year but was lucky enough to go last year (drove the white princess out there |biggrin||biggrin|). My wife even tagged along last year. Doubt if she will ever go again tho |laugh| She's just doesn't understand that feeling of being around all those vettes. |biggrin|

I didn't get any of Adam |sad| When I stopped by the space on Saturday morning, he was trying to eat breakfast and keep the shirts / hats, etc out of the rain....yes, it was raining, but I was still walking around. I wasn't going to let a bit of rain stop me.

Later in the day, the sun did come out, but by then I was in sensor overload. I went back by the space later, but Adam was busy talking to potential new members....and I forgot about wanting to take a picture of the booth...sorry.....

Oh yea, I completely missed the lunch meeting.....12:00 came and went before I knew it....

Maybe someone else got a few....

Somehow I think we are going to see Martin there again next year. You are one up on me for it being your first time there....for all the hours I have spent walking the grounds, I never even thought to take any pictures |frown| . How did you get the aerial shot , climb up on one of the blimps??? |smile|. Did you go over to see the dyno running or see the Evolution Display?

I'll be there next year....with a mission to take pictures. |biggrin|

Near the front of the fairgrounds there is a hill where the C-5 Forum member parked, and the auction tent was set-up (didn't stay around for the auction though).....

I was at the dyno for a couple of runs....a C-5 Z06 that hit 517 hp at the rear wheels and Mike69 (from the other forum) and his ZZ4 equiped yellow '69. He had changed from the stock hooker sidepipe mufflers to a set from JCL....and gained 11 hp...up to 286.2 rwhp.

I did get a couple of short video's of the dyno runs. I tried to upload to post, but since it's not an image file, the system wouldn't let me. |frown| I can e-mail then to anyone interested.
