Yes unfortuneatly it is that time again. Soon we will all be putting our vettes to sleep for the winter months.

 

Last Fall i attempted to have a BBQ at Round Valley state park in NJ.  I wasnt so well equipped for the job and we were missing some items but we all made due with what we had and we all had a good time. Last year we had 7 vettes including my fathers C5.

This year i would like to get even more or atleast the same members again.

It will be at the Round Valley State Park.  It will most assuredly be on a weekend.  I just need to get an idea of what weekend would be best for all to meet up and a rain date.

It is a beautiful ride in NJ and beautiful walks and by the time we get this squared away we will get tons of trees and plants changing colors. it is really a great time.

 

I certainly hope to see you all and i am starting this now to give us all plenty of advance notice.  Oh and remember if you want to show up all you have to bring is yourselves. if you want to go but your vette isnt road worthy or you dont want to chance it, don't.  Just take your regular vehicle of choice and come that way. I will be supplying some more of the event as it gets closer and we can make a list of what everyone can bring or wants to bring.

 

I hope to hear from you all and your ideas and input.

The Date of the BBQ is 10/28/07 (It is a Sunday). It starts at 11 AM and goes till no one is left.  The park closes when the sun goes down.

Roundvalley State Park's address is (for mapquest users to do directions):

I called the park for this address and they said that Google Maps is the only one that recognizes the road they are on for some reason.

 

The weather channel says for Lebanon, Nj for Sunday is Mostly Sunny, 20% chance of rain and a High of 56 Degrees. Remember to bring a sweat shirt or jacket. all parking locations are very close to the lake and we won't know till we get there which direction the wind is blowing.

At The entrance of the park there will be no sign. The park has 3 parking lots where tables and grilles are available.

 

Bring cameras if you got them. Iron82 will not be joining us so we are on our own for pictures of this BBQ.

10/21, where is round vallt state park

From the East, take exit 20A-Cokesbury Road to Route 22 West.

1st light take jughandle crossing over Rt. 22.

From the West, take exit 18-Route 22 East 2nd light take a right. 

 

Little more than an hour drive from Suffern, NY.
