Man, that is a great trip, flounder fishing with a seasoned captain, than BBQ afterwards.

An offshore trip down here runs at least $200.00, so he is hooking you up, pardon the pun!

Have a great trip!

Well friends, we had a lot of fun yesterday!! Only 5 flounder on the boat, but a lot of great conversation and jokes, a beautiful sunny spring day out on the water, some new faces put with member site names and a good captain that tried really hard to get some fish on the boat!!

With us was Jim (riddj) and Dave (DaveM) my 77 year old dad and Nick, a friend from the neighborhood. The early spring heat from a full day fishing moved our post fishing BBQ indoors. We filled our appetites with burgers and steaks as my dad reminisced about the cars he had and worked on from the 40s through to present.

Jim and Dave, it was great to see you and hang out for the day, hope you enjoyed yourselves - we sure did!!

We will certainly look to get a few more trips going over the summer for stripers and fluke. I'll post some dates soon.

Below are some pics from the trip:

As we say down here, "a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work."  I am not implying you had a bad fishing trip, so please don't take it that way!  As we all know, you never know what will happen, that's why it is called fishing!

Glad you had a great time, the burgers and steaks smell good from here!

Finally got out on the lake today, brought home some walleyes, grilled em, put em on angel hair, threw on some mozzerella, and maranara sauce.

Sure would have been nice if they were strippers. (fish Larry fish)
