Bad news. At this point it doesn't look like Hank's OR my car will be done in time for the weekend. I haven't given up hope but I'm not holding my breath, either. Lew's shop is running behind due to the heat and A LOT of work (seems like there's a lot of demand for a good, reliable, Corvette shop). I don't want to rush them since they are touching up my paint and taking care of my "punch list". I MAY see about a "loaner" Vette!
We'll see. He DOES work on Saturday, you know!

OK, good news/bad news. The good news is my car is done! Unfortunetely, I couldn't get to the shop in time to pick it up today, but I WILL pick it up tomorrow! Bad news is, Hank won't be able to come. He had some things come up and they have to do a couple more things to his car so he just decided to leave it there. So, Rich, same place, same time Sunday?

Barry..I have had something come up on the home front..I can't go..hopefully I can get things to work out..

Sorry you guys weren't able to make it. Weather held out all day - nice show. Not sure how many cars were there - Barry & Jackie were there, as well as Frank & I. Several clubs were represented - saw some really nice cars...some I recognized from CFAC last year. Jaws79 & I each walked away with a runner-up trophy for stock late model C3's.
Barry said now we can add "Award winning" to our car descriptions...

As Barb said, the show was small but all the people there were very open and friendly, not model territorial as in some of the shows. Everybody seemed to have a genuine interest in ALL the cars, not just the late models. Got a lot of positive feedback on the Vette. It was great spending the day with Barb and Frank but we could have used a little more C3VR attendence! Also we got to see Barb and Frank's Chrysler 300 "land yacht"! Very nice!
Hopefully we can get some C3VR people to attend Barb and Frank's local club's show in July (don't have the date in front of me). And "Frosty" got it's first trophy! You guys missed a good one!

I wanted to get down there to see you guys and spread the C3VR word, but a family event went longer than expected and by the time I got home, it was too late to make it down to the show.
Glad you guys picked up some awards!
