On the second Saturday of each month starting in April and going through September, Keystone State Corvette Club will be hosting a Corvette Only Cruise In at Ron's Schoolhouse Restaurant, in Downingtown, Pa. Ron's is located on Route 113 just North of Route 100, near the Downingtown exit of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Starting time is 3:00 PM and it will end around 9:00 PM. Ron's Schoolhouse has hot and cold sandwiches, platters, and pizza; along with cold beer and wine. Anyone with a Corvette is welcome to stop in and spend the evening. There will be a 50 / 50 drawing and music will be provided. The best part is >>>>>> ADMISSION IS FREE !! Also, if anyone wants to get in some shopping, the Exton Mall is only 10 minutes away. A cell phone number to call in case the weather is "iffy" will be set up at a later date. If anyone has any questions, send me an e mail or reply to this message and I will get back to you. |thumb| |cheers|

Hi George - You're right .. the food at Ron's is GREAT !! There has been quite a bit of interest in the cruise, so it should be a good time. I will update theis forum from time to time with info on the cruise. What kind of mods will you be cranking in this year ?? I will be taking my car out for the last time tomorrow, but I am already looking forward to spring time. Have a safe and happy holiday season. See you in April, if not a little earlier. Hi Jimmy , I am going to try out some D port shorties I picked up to fit my AFR heads and machine up a new style billet shifter for the tko trans . Also I am making a pair of new billet air cleaners for the side draft carbs and a wide band lambda setup for both sides of the exhaust . Also include any other mindless stuff to stop the boredom over the winter ,,,,,,,,,

Back to the subject, it looks like Downingtown is west of Philly, south of Allentown and southeast of Harrisburg.
Is that correct?

Dwright , Ron's schoolhouse restaurant is quite a ways from downingtown . It sort of picked up the location name by being very close to the downingtown tpke interchange . It is at the junctions of rts# 113 & 100 and quite easy to find from the interchange. Take a look at a Pa map and if you need more info just give a shout ,,,

I just wanted to get a general idea of where it was and that's where it showed on MapQuest.
Thanks.
Hope to see you April 9.

Here is the exact / correct address if you are using mapquest : Ron's Schoolhouse Grill - 74 E Uwchlan Ave - Exton - Pa - 19341 .... when you look at mapquests map : the Pa Turnpike is Rt 76 ... Pottstown Pike is Route 100 ... Uwchlan Ave is Route 113.

The Downingtow exit of the Tirnpike is one exit WEST of the Valley Forge exit ... From the Downingtown exit, take Rt 100 SOUTH for about 1 mile, then turn left (NORTH) onto Rt 113 ... Ron's will be about one quarter mile down on the right.
