Adam and all,
I will be heading up a caravan from California heading back for SharkFest. Last year for the 20th Birthday of the Bowling Green Plant we came across I-40.... . . This year we plan to come across I-80 cut south out of Nebraska toward Kansas City and hook up with some coming up from the SouthWest. As soon as the scheduled stops and logding have been setup we'll post it here.
I do know we plan a stop over in York, Nebraska (my home town) for a BBQ. I am am/was a Charter Member of the CrossRoads Corvette Club there. Hope to have a nice break and meet some new friends and re-new old friendships.

Hey Adam,
Looking at the map Columbus would make quite a jog to the east for me. I have a friend in the Cinci area and my parents have friends in Louisville so may try to hookup with the group in either of those places (that's assuming you'll be passing near or through one of them).
In reading through the NCM info I saw where the assembly plant will only be open on Wednesday and Thursday (28th/29th) and then closed for the balance of the get-together (or did I read that wrong?). Any idea when the last tour of the day leaves the gate? I'd hate to drive all that way and not get to see the inside of the place. If the projected arrival time of the C3VR Caravan into B.G. would be too late in the day to catch a tour I may just plan to meet up with the group there so I could take it in.

Found an answer to one of my questions on this link. Last tour of the assembly plant leaves the gate at 1 p.m.

Jim,
you're right. We'll miss the NCM's trips to tour the plant.
I just called the plant to find out if the C3VR could have it's own tour on Friday, but they are closed that day, which is probably why NCM isn't doing tours there that day!
If you come down for the 50th Anniversary Kick-Off in June, we'll be there in time to get in on NCM's trips to tour the plant!
I tried, sorry!

Hey Adam,
I'm still planning on joining up with the C3VR group in B.G. as trying to hook up with the caravan somewhere enroute from PA would be too much of an easterly swing for me to make. Plus I'd like to get into B.G. early enough to try to catch a plant tour. When is the drop-dead date for reserving one of the motel rooms in B.G.? Should I signup for the event even though I won't be doing the Ohio overnight? And I'd probably start heading north on Saturday, the 31st, to miss some of the holiday weekend traffic (especially around the "Windy City").

Jim,
August 1st is the date you need to let me know by.
And yes, please add yourself to the Caravan list so you'll be contacted about the event whenever needed.
Thanks!

Hey gang,
Looks like I'm going to have to drop out. Needed to find a job before the end of the month and that's beginning to look like its not going to happen. Dollars are tight so can't justify it, this year anyway.

Well, that sucks!
I'd have like for you to be apart of the trip.
At any rate, please go to the Event Page and remove yourself from the list.
Thanks!

I've still got a week or so before the deadline so I'd like to stay signed up until the last minute possible. That way I won't miss any announcements on the trek. Keeping my fingers crossed hoping something pops my way. I'll pull my name from the list by the 31st if I haven't landed anything by then.
