Who's up for this Sat. 11/4 This is a big Vette thing, over 340 signed up as of 2 weeks ago. The info is on the Corvette Forum, here's a copy:
This year’s upcoming Toys for Tots Atlantic City Run on November 4 is shaping up as a great event and needless to say for a great cause. Currently we have approximately 340 Corvettes pre-registered. General Motors is supporting the event and revving up the caravan with an American Lemans Series Corvette Pace Car to lead your Corvettes into Atlantic City and has donated an autographed C5R Rear bumper to be used in a raffle/auction to help raise money for the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program.

Pre-registering for a Kerbeck T-shirt will end Friday. If you did not see the original post, the first 500 individuals to pre-register by filling out the form on our website will be given their free t-shirt at the event.

Those of you who have not pre-registered by individual name and contact info will not be listed for our t-shirt giveaway (Corvette club members to need to register individually on our website, not with your club).

Plenty of time is left now thru Friday October 20 to register to get a t-shirt. All are welcome to the event even if you don’t register, however, we continue to ask for you to register beyond Friday so we can be adequately be prepared with food, dash plaques, parking, etc.

There will be a drawing for door prizes so save your ticket that you will receive when you get to Kerbecks.

This year we will be meeting at the Farley Plaza on the Atlantic City Expressway at 12 noon on Saturday, November 4, 2006. As a reminder you must bring at least one (more are welcome) new, unopened, unwrapped toy(s). Toys for boys and girls too.

As further details roll out, I will post on the forum and on our website at kerbeck.com

Looking forward to seeing you at the Event

Warm regards,
Harry Boyer
Event Coordinator
Kerbeck Corvette Specialist

P.S. Not for anything, but would you like to try and take a guess at how many Corvettes you think will attend this years event – remember 340 already registered. Let’s have a little fun. Harry

There is a meeting spot on the GSP at the Cheesequake rest area, leaving there at 10am. I can meet you at the same gas station we meet at last time at 8:45-9 am. So far you & I are the only ones from our area.
There no cost except you need a new toy to give to the Toys for Tots program. You can reg. it's only for a head count. Go to Kerbeck's web site you get all the info you need.
Tell your dad to bring his C5.

Jeramy, If you have EZ Pass make sure you bring it for the GSP, and the toy. So are you going? If so how about meeting at 8:30 at that gas station on 206?
That will give us plenty of time to get to the Cheesequake rest area and take a leak or what ever before leaving at 10am.
I'm supprised no one else wants to go.

yes i have EZ pass.  the reason no one else has responded is due to the late notice. i told my dad about it so he could bring his C5 and he said he wish he knew about it last weekend, but now he already made plans.  i haev a feeling thats how it is for most.  me, my mechanic isnt ready for the car so i have it this weekend. i should be going but right now i am watching the weather. my windows dont go up so it gets cold and i dont need rain to occur either.  so as of now i am going. 8:30 sounds fine at the gas station, this time i follow you so if i am slower, you dont have to be.

Dave, i am going to go just to let you know.  tonight i will be taking the car out of storage for one last run before it goes to the mechanic to haev the engine rebuilt.
Also, i got some more info on the event tomrrow. so read this. it is some of what you had and more.  Notice the meet up times for the GSP meeting spot.

Kerbeck's of Atlantic City is once again planning their annual Kerbeck's "Toys For Tots" event scheduled for Saturday, 04 November 2006 in Atlantic City, NJ. This is obviously a charity event to gather toys for the U.S. Marine Corps "Toy For Tots" program, and as such I would like to encourage all members of the Central Jersey Corvette Club to participate. Kerbeck's is planning to turn this into a very large event, see details at: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=1484330
You can register for a tee shirt at: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=1494870

Most of the participants from central-north New Jersey and New York will be meeting at the Cheesequake Rest Stop on the Garden State Parkway on Saturday morning between 9:00 and 9:30 AM and then caravanning down to the main gathering spot at Farley Plaza on the Atlantic City Expressway. The main caravan is scheduled to leave Farley Plaza for Kerbeck's at noon. Kerbeck's has arranged for the Atlantic City Expressway to be totally shut down for this caravan along with a police escort.

The northeast section of the 50th Anniversary Registry, which I am also a member of, will be attending this event as a group and as in past years, will be going out to dinner together after the festivities at Kerbeck's have ended. I would like to invite any CJCC members planning on participating in the "Toys For Tots" cruise to join us for dinner that evening. We have made dinner reservations at Angelo's Fairmount Tavern in Atlantic City for 4:30 PM. and should be done by about 7:00 PM still allowing those planning on driving home that night ample time to get home. You can view info about the restaurant as well as their menu at: http://www.angelosfairmounttavern.com/index.html

They will set us up with tables for ten, and allow us to order individually from the menu. The checks will be by individual tables. If you would like to join us for dinner at Angelo's please send me an e-mail so I can keep track of the numbers in order to update our reservation as required. Angelo's has free parking for almost 100 cars right across the street from them. Angelo's is only about a five minute drive from Kerbeck's.

Some of our members will be spending Saturday night in Atlantic City at Harrah's Showboat Casino and Hotel, which as of this afternoon was already totally book for that night. There are rooms available at the Tropicana : http://www.tropicana.net/ for $291.00 (includes all fees and taxes). There are also rooms available at the Comfort Inn next to the Sands Casino and Hotel for $184.00 (includes all fees and taxes). This is an internet rate for "seniors over 50" which fortunately (or unfortunately - depends on how you look at it) most of us qualify for. The link to the Confort Inn is : http://www.choicehotels.com/ires/en-US/htm...=Atlantic+City+
Mike and I are booked at the Comfor Inn.

You can view some pictures from last year's event at:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=1233191 and http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=1232984

Remember, this is a charity run for "Toys For Tots" so don't forget to go out and buy plenty of toys!!!!!
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I hope to see many of you at Cheesequake on the morning of November 4th.
Thanks, Holly & Mike Turczyn
