As you all know, myself and many others here are Veterans.  A group in NJ Is hosting a Vettes for Vets cruise sometime in September. SInce I'll be in DC anyway, I might try to plan it into my weekend and go.

Info is still in flux but here are the quotes as taken from another forum

I'm just trying to gauge the interest level here and see who might want to cruise up there with me.
One of the members of my Vette club is planning an event for this September called Vettes for Vets. He wants to get as many Corvettes together as possible to caravan down to the local VA hospital here in NJ, and thens pend the day with the Vets, thanking them for their service, and generally having a good time.

We are looking at Saturday Sept 16 with a rain date of Sunday the 17th. When all the info is finalized I will post it on the Northeast events forum.
I'm a Vet and September 12 is my wife's birthday, I have never been to NJ, it might be a fun drive, its a long way from Deltona, FL but my wife and I really enjoyed the drive to TN. I will let you know.

I told my wife many times, before we bought our vette, how much fun they were, now she is ready to drive it with any reason. Gene

I most likely can make it also. Is it the VA Hospital in Lyons, NJ?

Have to check the schedule, but might be able to make it.
As a retired vet, it's a good way to "give back" to those who need it more than me.

Did you ever find out the exact location of this?  Do you have a link to the other forum you were talking about that will take us to the thread there?

Thanks!
