Big VA hospital in West Orange - that's where I was checked out when I came home....

Oops  it's East Orange. For those of you who don't know the area, If this is the location, security is going to be a concern. Lyons would be the better choice. E.O. has really gotten bad, and if you don't know where you're going you could easily make a wrong turn and wind up in the wrong place at the wrong time   

This is an excellent cause, but E.O. is the last place you want to go to, especially with your Vettes.  

glad you brought that concern up warbird. Personally I couldn't see them having a big gathering like that in East orange. No place to park that many cars for one. Parking in the streets of East orange would be foolish. I could see the headlines in the star ledger. 50 aged chevrolets taken on joy rides by East orange youth. No arrests were made, and only 2 vehicles have been found. The police chief says there is an investigation underway as to why these old cars were on the streets taking up the citizens of East orange parking places.

Here's the answer I got back to Warbirds statement:

" I heard from Jerry that he wants to start in Mendham Twp. in Morris County and roll down 287 to Lyons VA. He has yet to get me a start time. I will bug him again tonight (8-8-06) to get me the info. Thanks. "

I knew it could not be at the E. Orange VA Hospital, and if it was I was not going without my 50 cal. turret on top of the Vette   Starting in Mendham is great for me, thats 5 min. from my house. I hope this works out, sounds like fun

New Info for this trip ! I doubt my car will be ready to go but I wanted to give ya'll the opportunity....


" Jerry is asking everyone to meet at his house, 2 Ralston Hill Road, Mendham, NJ 07945 at 9:30 AM on Saturday morning Sept 16. At 10 AM we will start the 12 mile run down to Lyons VA Hospital.

Jerry assures me that there is plenty of room to arrange the cars along the street in his neighborhood. We have done this before when we do fun runs and have not had any problems. Thanks and I hope you can make it."

let me know when you guys are going to be there. i am literally 2 min from it. i live right down the road so i will see you guys there.
