Lifetime MemberAnother thing, i belong to a local corvette club and on september 24th we are having a big corvette show at the lyons va hospital as well. other vette clubs have been invited.
here is a copy of the info on it. it was sent to all the club members in the club i belong to:
TO: ALL CLUB MEMBERS
Tom Mulligan has scheduled our visit to Lyons’s Veterans Hospital for September 24th. This event will be in conjunction with a picnic Lyon’s is having for the patients.
For those that wish to cruise to Lyon’s, with other club members, meet in the rear parking lot of Louka’s Diner on Route 22 East, in Branchburg. We will depart Louka’s at 10:30 AM. For those that would rather meet at Lyon’s, arrive at approx 11:00 AM, enter the main gate past the golf course caddy shack and make a right turn into the picnic area.
As you might remember, Tom had scheduled this event for last year, but it was rained out. This is our opportunity to show our hospitalized veterans how much we appreciate their service to our country, so please make every effort to participate.

Lifetime MemberHey is it still on for this weekend? I might not be around since my job is making me work saturday for a big project we are on. but the following sat is when all other vette clubs are going to the same place.

NY/CT guys will be meeting up at the El Dorado Diner in Tarrytown. Here is the address:

We will meet there up until 8am. We leave Tarrytown at 8:00 SHARP. It's 60 miles to the meeting point in New Jersey.
Queens and LI people are meeting at the Blue Bay (corner of Francis Lewis Blvd and LIE Service road West) and will depart at 7 am.
Anyone from Northern NJ that wants to meet, can meet us as we go by the "truck toll" just past the Garden State Parkway. We can probably pull over to the side just past the toll plaza and pick up anyone waiting. BE THERE AT 8:00 o'clock THE LATEST!
From there we head down 287 into NJ and to the meeting point in Mendham.

I have a seminar that I'm conducting in North Bergen NJ right on the Hudson (I used to able to see the WTC fron there) and I won't be finished until around 10:30 AM. By the time I get home, get my car and travel to the VA hospital, I won't be there any sooner than 2:00 PM 
. I may have to go to the one on the 24th.
Wish I could be there, but my Dad is still in failing health, so I'm stuck here in the local area.
