Greetings: On January 20,21,22 2012 there is a car show/ swap meet in Allentown, Pa. Go to AutoManiashows.com to get details. Does anyone want to meet there and visit, see the show, and go out for a meal on saturday nite? Depending on weather and intrest, it may be a good way to begin the new year with friends and cars. www.automaniashows.com Enjoy the CHRISTmas season and have SAFE New Year. M-n-S

I got a postcard on that show! I'l check with the wifey and see what she says! Sounds pretty good to me, though!

Barry

It's really just a swap meet. I went once with friends who love going there, but I was not crazy about. If you want to check out old parts & stuff then it's good. I didn't see much Corvette stuff at all. If there is a good response to this I might go just to see the crew.
There is a HUGE indoor flea market across the street also.

Dave....it's more of a get together of the folks from the area.....this swap meet was a convienient meeting place for the mid-winter get together that was auto related, sort of in the center of the PA, MD, NJ, maybe even NY area....never much going on concerning Corvettes in winter unfortunately. We're open for suggestions if anybody has a better idea.

Swap meets are fun! You don't have to be looking for Corvette specific stuff to go...I find all kinds of neat stuff. I bought my neat-o fender covers at a swap meet, cheaper than ordering them from the vendor, too. Service manuals, owner's manuals, and stuff like that can also be found much cheaper than e-bay, usually. You do normally have to search out the Corvette stuff...lot of folks don't know what it came off of, or what it fits, but if your looking for a specific rim, trim piece, or starter, etc., it's worth going. Beside, ya gets some good walking exercise!
Mama & I hit the Pate swap meet every year(since '97). Pate is one of the largest automotive swap meets in the states, and it's an ALL DAY sucker to walk, even if you don't stop and haggle.
Sounds like a good place to have a mini-Gathering, to me!

YEAH! Joel is comming up to show us how to shop, attach a leash to a BREAD collar and find stuff that people do not know fits a CORVETTE.

Not unless you have a fully equipped Radio Flyer w/sideboards I ain't!!

And by "fully equipped", I mean with zoomie exhaust pipes, Fuel Injection emblems, racoon tail on the antenna, umbrella rack, cooler, and, of course, the "Student Driver" license plate...you know, the usual swap meet wagon stuff!!

I got a postcard on this also?? I am supposed to work this weekend but can swap with someone..not sure if I would drive the car but I guess weather will determine that!! Also...going to a swap meet with me with my heavy OCD issues would be fun..I'd be all over the place!! I guess put me in the radio flyer!! Or tie a leash harness on me..Allentown isn't all that far so that would be a good stretch your legs trip....now the real question will be top up or down?
Ok..just checked out the website..um..it sucks..but oh well..I guess they have a couple hundred people there to answer the phone..because that's all they have on the site..won't change my mind on going though because the one picture shows some oil cans..maybe get lucky and pick up a few new ones I don't have.

My first parade at Carlisle 2010
Sounds like a fun time, still to far (5.5 hrs) for a winter hike over the Pa. mountains for my Sled.
ebo
Take lots of pictures.
We need to find a bullseye like Binghamton or someplace where we all can reach within a few hours for a big Ho'Down in the winter
