Well I have completed the tranny rebuild and have it back in. I sure miss driving it around. The hardest part was bolting the shifter back in. My exhaust is all welded together so I can't get it out of the way. It looks like all I have to do is give her a bath and wax job and I will be ready for the show.

I thought I might have to pull the trans back out because becase when I pushed in the clutch the trans would not stop spinning. I shut the engine down and put it in gear, pushed the clutch in and bumped the starter. It did not drag so I fired up the motor with the clutch in. The engine was idling and then the engine rpm started to get  pulled down until it stalled out ( my foot was planted on the brake). I was not a happy camper. Released the clutch and pushed it back in. Thought I would try it again. This time it worked just fine and backed her out of the garage and went for a short drive. All seems great now. The only thing that worried me on the trans rebuild was all the little needle bearings. I use my deep sockets as the install tool and it worked great.

See you all next weekend! What time are we meeting up on Saturday?

Glen

Looks like 7:00 a.m. at the gas station just out side of town before you turn to go over the bridge.
