Around Mt Hood. (Mt. Hood Vettes did this a few months ago)
Start in Troutdale, go east on Old Columbia River Highway, join 84, continue east to Hood River. South on Hwy 35. West on 26 (stop at Timberline Lodge). Continue back to Gresham (couple of interesting back roads too).
Soft-serve ice cream in Cascade Locks, Lots of restaurants in Hood River (and Full Sail Brewery). Fruit stand near O'dell. Food and drink at Timberline.
Drive - not including stops - is about 3.5 hours.

Sounds like an awsome trip, lets looks at a time frame and get a date set so people can plan to make it. I can see 6, 7, or more Vettes stopping at a roadside fruit stand creating quite a stir / show. Sounds like a great trip but I willd need to lock in a date as I'm sure others will.
This and the Mt St. Helens trip are a great start to a spring / summer schedule for the NW Chapter
Now I think the Northern NW people need to come up with a cool trip, the coast? More mountains? It sure is a beautiful drive around Mt Rainier. We could plan a more lengthy trip like say North Cascades Nat. Park and then back down through Leavenworth, WA. Lotta opportunities here in the NW.

Sounds fun, I like that drive. Even have take the train ride out of Hood River up the valley and through orchards while the apple trees were in bloom. Ok so the question is, how many crates of fruit can you fit in the vette?
