Well there is a 90% chance I won't be able to make it to the swap meet. Snoqualmie pass is closed until at least Saturday morning and no guarantees at that.

Well you have time to weld up a snow plow for the front of your SUV. If Homer can do it, you can!
Looks like Karen and I will have to bow out. Our other fiberglass love is about to get a refit. We have to de-rig it so they can pull the mast next week and start work.
I don't really know what you just said but I understand, take care of that other fiberglass baby
See you two in the spring.

Translation:
Refit = spend mega bucks (i.e., no second Vette for awhile)!!! Outside: Remove mast, remove all deck hardware, wood trim, etc., repair leaks in deck and/or rotten core (wood between fiberglass), re-tab (re-attach; it broke loose) starboard (right side looking forward) bulkhead (basically a little wall), grind off old deck material, repair fiberglass where needed, repaint decks, remove old paint from hull, re-paint. Inside: de-mold, drill holes in cabin top to allow core to dry, replace headliner (stuff that lines the top of the "roof", replace teak on the sides). I think that's it.
De-rig = Remove all of the running rigging (all of the "ropes" on the boat) in preparation for the mast to be pulled.
Did I ever tell you buys what BOAT means? Bring Out Another Thousand!
This is what will be taking up every waking moment of free time for us for the next two months or so. Every little bit of work Mike & I can do means less charges from the boat yard! I'll be posting pictures of the progress on my picture site and will let you guys know in case you're interested.
Have a good time up there you guys! Wish we could come!!

Well the pass is still closed and will be until tonight sometime. So are all the other passes for that matter. Only way to the coast is head south to I84 than west to Portland to pick up I5 north. Only a 8 hr run
Have fun and buy lots of stuff. Need to keep this economy rolling

Karen, didn't anyone ever tell you what a boat is? A boat is a whole in the water inwhich you pour money

Glen, sorry you couldn't get over the pass but thats a sad excuse for not showing up
Just kidding, see you in the summer when all that snow thaws.

All in all it was a great day, lots and lots of C3's for sale. I about died over this Black 69 Vert. with a 427 if I remember correct. Thanks for coming out Larry (1BadLT1), John (jt's73), Jason (79rebuild) & Steve (WETVET). I'll have loads of pictures after I get home tommarow.
