Vette(s): 74 coupe 4 speed 350, 54K actual miles, all original; paint, interior, engine, split bumper. #'s match. 2nd owner, no stress cracks.
Thanks Dave for the links...Thumbs%20Up.   Real interesting and all new to me.
I have heard of the Corvette Boat, but never a Corvette Trailer.  I see quite a few of those Tear Drop Trailers (both new and old) at the car shows, but never behind a vette.

Does anybody have any info on installing a hitch on a C3???

Hey Tux, were those 3 travel trailer pics BS of whatLOL, I am still waitingWacko

You probably won't believe me, but way way back, I saw a picture of a corvette that someone had converted to a real small "Motor Home".  I think it was a C3, but won't swear.
"Ring a bell" with anybody????               THANKS....

You know I sure wish I could answer yes to saying our C5 pulled our TT but I can't. They do make hitches for vettes to pull trailers with but I don't think a person would be very comfortable sitting that low to the ground trying to keep a trailer this large into view. Not that somebody wouldn't or hasn't done this.

Here is our pulling machine.

I just couldn't resist the temptation as a prankster to post the optical illusion.....

Vette(s): Silver 1974 Convertible - L82 4 speed Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses. 2008 Jetstream Blue Convertible
Vette Trailers - I've got a pic somewhere of a trailer built from a C3 being pulled by a C3 from Carlisle in '06.  I'm traveling, so it'll have to wait until I get home.

Hitch for a C3 - Steve, if you check your owner's manual, there is a page that starts "if you're thinking of towing with your car..." or something to that effect.  It talks about it, but not in detail.  I have occasionally seen what is listed as a C3 hitch on e-bay, but not for some time.

Oh, wait!  I just took a look, and there's one there!  The price is pretty reasonable too!  I've thought about them in the past, but since I don't have a trailer, it's just wishful thinking/wasted money.

Steve, I know what you mean about not much room in the 74.  When I put the top down in mine, and have my custom stereo box, I have virtually NO room in mine!

I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

Anyway thanks....and yes if you can post picThumbs%20Up

Here's a thought for a receiver type hitch.

A neighbor of mine is reworking the hitch on his Expedition.  He is replacing the regular rear bumper with a custom fit one that will be painted to match the body color.  He is putting a hinged license plate bracket on the new bumper and will cut a hole in the bumper behind the plate for the receiver to pass through to the reworked hitch.  When not in use the hitch is not visible.

I overheard some C3 folks talking about this at an event I was at.  With our cars so low to the ground already it made sense to me.  It also removed the clutter of the hitch from sight.

I actually had one of those one wheel trailers.
We bought it right after I got married in 82 and hauled our tent and supplies to go camping with . I think it was made or sold through Sears. It was pulled by a 1978 Dodge Colt. I can still remember drilling the bumper to mount those brackets and my dad shaking his head and laughing.

Proxy bidding, if the bid is at $20.00 and if you bid say  $25.00 and the last guy has $26.00 for his maximum bid ,  you just got outbid by $1.00.  you then bid 30.00 for your maximum bid, the bid will probably show as $27.00 and the next guy will have to beat $30.00 to get past you. If he bids $28.00 it will tell him he was just outbid and you will still be the high bidder untill somone bids more than your $30.00 .. Clear as mud? LOL Its a little hard to explain but once you grasp the concept , it all comes together.
