Sadly, I knew all of them! But one small correction. Red Skelton always said MAY GOD bless. When asked about it, he stated "you shouldn't tell GOD what to do!". Cool list, though! Brought back a lot of memories. It als makes me feel older!

Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
Got them all but lucky strike.  I was a camel man at the time. of course I'm 5 years past 60.

How did the younger guys do?

The big question is were you when you saw your first TV program.

I bet there are a lot out there that do not remember the color sheet they sold that started out brown on the bottom and was blue on the top so you could put it on your TV and watch color programs.  Any other families own one?

Yes I know that everyone under 50 will not have the slightest idea what I'm talking about.

I knew them all too and I am ONLY 56.  I grew up on a farm in minnesota, but the house was up on a hill, so we were lucky.  We got ABC, CBS, NBC and an independant out of minneapolis....Norsky might remember...WTCN, chanel 11.

I grew up with a TV, BUT I do remember my the first color TV...we drove 40 miles to see it....EVERYTHING was green, but at least it was not black 'n white!

Before I was in 2nd grade, the house we lived in had NO running water, so an outhouse in the summer and thunder mugs in the winter.  Anybody know why you kept a stick in the corner of the outhouse????

To beat around the inside of the hole before you sat down...SPIDERS.

There was NO heat in the upstairs either.  Wood or linoleum floors!  Always slept with the sock on!

I also remember when they came around and installed dial phones.  OMG were we something.  We were still on a party line and our ring was one short and two long rings.

Shhhh..EBO is still waiting for dial telephones.

Warning: The surgeon general has declared that it is NOT unhealthy to smoke your competition AND I just discovered that my corvette is a hybred.  It burns gas and rubber!
