This 'puter is drivin me nutz....and I ain't enjoyin the ride.
I have been having "issues" for the last few weeks, and have since discovered a malware insertion that just won't go away. Now, I can't even do a "System Recovery"

Imma fixin to do some back-ups on my data/software files, and wipe this sucker clean, and start over.
None of my virus stuff is finding anything else, other than what it caught a few days ago, and supposedly removed/quarantined.
I may have to plug in the other 'puter I have here if this one doesn't survive the dump/wipe....
Wishes me Luckies, ya'll....

Roger, I do have the MSR tool...it ain't happening.
I did do a FULL system restore(non-destructive) this morning, and so far, that seems to have eliminated the virus issue. It doesn't however, take care of the Firefox issue.

Sorry I haven't been around the last couple of days...I was gonna fire up my other puter, but....darn thing doesn't have a modem in it!

Hopefully, we're on the road to recovery...keeps yer fangers crossed.

Can somebody PLEASE tell me how to get this GD Norton Security crap OFF my puter??????
It keeps tellin me I ain't got the friggin authority to remove it! WTH?!?!?
I removed it once before, and never had any issues, but since I've done the full recovery, it won't let me git rid of it. The problem is, it(Norton) also won't let me get into my e-mail(I have to do a little run-around to access my e-mail), or do any updates for my other AV stuff....and it's really startin to pizz me of....
