I doesn't like the idea either, Rick. It looks like it's gonna happen anyway.
The real problem is the dam CEOs of these places gettin filthy rich while runnin the place into the ground, and then bailin out on it with the "Golden Parachute".....that's what pizzes me off. Why aren't they goin after these goobs, and prosecuting? Anyone remember ENRON???
This country has become a perfect place for idjits to get into high paying positions, steal all they can, screw the little guys, and then leave....like nothin happened. "Who, ME?"
The Government is just as much to blame, specifically Clinton's administration, who determined that everyone in the country should be able to buy a house...no money down, LOW interest rates for EVERYONE(except me, of course, cause I speak English and work for a living)
All of these people got into houses they couldn't afford to start with, and NEVER would have considered if it weren't for the Gov'ment saying, "C'mon in...we gots ya covered! No money? No job? No credit? NO PROBLEM!"

I agree with all! If you or I screwed up 1/1000 of what the CEO's did we would only get the boot out the door no cash or stock options.
I am not a financial guy so I have not figured out whats worse for the economy, the bail out or do nothingConfused

I agree that the bailout stinks! But, we'd better do something!
The fat cats that cooked the books, made mucho dinero on thier lies and then floated away rich as all h*** with thier golden parachutes should be investigated, prosecuted (where applicable) and thier assets should be forfeited to the govt. as ill gotten proceeds.
Why not?
