The new auction starts Jan 15 thru 20, 2008 on Speed TV.
I went to barrett-jackson.com and saw 1620 cars will cross the block
of which 106 will be corvettes.
I didn't have the patience to go down the list to see how many C3's
there were. Someone can do this if they want and let us know.
This is always a fun event for me.
Nice to see the big bucks $$$ and the cars they buy!
Please feel free to correct me on any of this if I made any mistakes...THANKS

I will be going there on Saturday, the 19th. I only live about 100 miles away, so going there is pretty easy. Let me know if you want to throw a bid on something!!!
LOL......Barrett-Jackson is the place to sell....not the place to buy!!
I'll get some pics while I'm there!

Thanks Mike.... I have always wanted to go. But once in awhile I do see good buys, at least on the TV. Maybe not a vette, but another car where it sold for way less than it cost to build.
How much does it cost to go? Say for all of the days. And how do show proof you have the finances to bid?
And yes pics would be appreciated

There is a very interesting C2 that is coming across on Saturday I believe. The authenticity of the C2 has been discussed at length in another forum.
The show costs vary by the day, Saturday will cost me $47 to attend. Al the prices, rules, etc are on their website. The biggest cost (buying or selling), is the commission. Last year it was 10% for both buyer and seller. So a $100,000 car will cost you $110,000 + tax, title, and license to buy, and will cost the seller $10,000 to sell it. Hell of a deal for BJ. I think I'm in the wrong business............

Boy 20% goes to BJ. You got that right, what a business.
all the way to the Bank. Keep us all informed and have good time
THANKS....

THANKS....

What is the cost to the seller if it doesn't sell?
Do most of the sellers have a reserve price?

Good question. I don't know. Most of the cars have no reserve.
But I think I have seen cars with a reserve and some that do not sell.
Anybody know????
