I was a  little concerned about that also but when I actually pulled the car inside I was surprised to find out that I can open either side door or both just enough to get out of the car. With the car sitting in its tie down spot, I can walk around the car on either side. Good thing a C3 is narrow  huh. With the extra height of the trailer I can also open the hood and have several inches of clearance above it. The side trailer door is in fact about 8 feet in front of the car. LOL
i am jealous man. i don't even have a truck to haul a trailer
Lmao, I just saw this post.  I can remember when I never thought I would have a  Corvette. The truck is a necessity for traveling back and forth to NC for work and  if you have to do all that , might as well get one that will tow a Vette!
I am thinking that I have room not for racing but for a possible bed and mini fridge and microwave and all my clothes if needed, know what I mean?  I loaded the 71 in it last night and had about 10 ft or so left over for possible party on the road room. I might actually have room for Suzy to carry more luggage.  Still thinking though.........
Wait til Karen (KKFINCH) sees this. I told her you lied about the easiest way to pack for a trip. Now the proof is in yer own handwriten.

No wonder Suzi has ya puttin yer stuff out in the trailer now...    Tuxblacray2006-09-30 10:29:27

Scott,
That looks like a great trailer.
Can you still afford to drive to Reno in June?
You might want to invest in gasoline now that it has come down in price.
You know it will be back up to $3/gal by next summer.
Hope to see you at the Gathering in Reno.

No , Sorry to say we will not make the Reno trip. The dates are too close to  another trip we have planned . We have a few trips that we take each year that take priority over everything as far as other shows and gatherings. We will be in Colorado Springs the 26,27, 28 and 29 . Suzy has like 10 weeks of vacation a year but can only take them at certain times due to her work schedule. We will see you at another event somewhere in the near future , you can almost bank on that.
If the trip is within a hundred miles or so,we will drive the Vettes but I will trailer them any farther than that. As long as the truck gets nearly 20 mpg we should be fine. I am expecting diesel to come down soon even below gasoline as it was before all this silly price gouging.
As far as paying for the trailer, Suzy writes the checks, I work on the cars.. I do love that woman !

Vette(s): My 1974 Vette sold last August 2014. I am still willing to show up to events and local gatherings if anything happening No new vette yet.

I have an idea for ya, a friend of mine installed an ac unit on top of his and he got a 28 ft enclosed trailor like you. then he put a small partition up in the front and ran electricity to that area for a mini frig and tv. he threw a small single bed or cot in there so when he goes racin or long trips with his car he can sleep in his trailor or take brakes in there.  might be an idea for you since you have so much extra room.

I ran that by her already, didn't work. Her reply was I am not Censored Censored Censored in a Censored trailer. I'll work on her later. We still haven't bought it as of yet. We have it here, we have talked about it, I have washed it, she is still deciding. We both are thinking different thoughts and since its my trailer and  her money I am sure I will have to compromise somewhere LOL.
We actually wanted a goose neck and a few years newer, this is a 1999. But the price is right and we are hung on what exactly to do. My other trailer is a 2005 and we both agree that we like the idea of new and shiny. Time will tell.
