And always find a way to crawl under a trailer before buying it to make sure that its not eat up with rust in places you can't see otherwise!
I just took the trailer back from whence it came.
To make a long story short, I am back to looking again.

It was Charlie, I just took it back to Belleville. That thing has a lot of corrosion under it that can't been seen unless you actually get under it. I jacked it up to see about putting in more tie downs and shook my head and lowered it to the ground and took it back to its owner. I forgot I was living in the rust belt now.

[QUOTE=Norsky]GOOD FIND...!!! MUCH better sooner than later on that issue.

Now I know why the good price. I really want a gooseneck, maybe its a good thing in the long run. Suzy had just called me and told me to meet her at 6 pm to get the money. Better today then tomorrow to find out.
I also was just looking at my 2005 Flatbed trailer and the tires are weather cracked on it already????? It has had some sun exposure but not enough to cause that, besides I keep Armour Al on the tires to keep what sun they do see at bay.

So, did you call the guy's number I sent you or was it too pricey? PM me the details you need and I'll help ya hunt. If we find somethin pull behind in this area I'll hook up an drag it towards ya. (for a nominal fee -- like dinner--)
Providing you don't mind a dead guy pullin yer trailer (thanks Joel).

Well this might have been a good thing after all. Suzy and I have spent the evening talking about the situation and she says no more junk used trailers and no bumper pulls. You know what that means !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!? Stay tuned for 2007, its going to be interesting. We are looking at a Wells Cargo gooseneck , She has something $$$$ maturing in early 2007 and she says we should get a new one with in her words "a lot of shiney stuff on it" I can wait!!!

I got part of the numbers on the gooseneck today, without extras it looks like about 13 grand (ouch). Thats for a 2007 with 14000 lb gvwr . He says its 33 ft long over all giving me about 23 ft of flat space and about a 7 ft loft area. Suzy might just make me live in it after all. I called Wells Cargo today and they are sending me a priced option sheet. Thats a lot of $$ for a poor boy. I might need therapy after a purchase like that. I just have to keep telling myself that its tax deductible.
