The car you are driving NOW is the LEAST expensive car you will ever own. All it costs is gas and yearly fees. Keep what you have and run it till it is dead. [/QUOTE]

With Julia's dad in poor health (not much time left here on earth) she is making frequent runs to Portland OR (5-1/2 hr run through the mountains) with the van. I would perfer she has a newer vehicle. Our BMW (bought used) was totaled in January by an idiot (driving way to fast 50+ in a 35). So the van is being used to teach our son to drive and hall our 2 shepards around. My plan is to run it until the engine or other expensive item goes.
Right now my spare cash goes to my daughters college so no big car payments for me
. Still need to be able to fund the retirement account.

Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses.

I found the official web site (www.cars.gov). Bad news. The MSRP of the new car you buy must be less than $45K. That leaves out the C6.
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!
