Subject: Boycott Citgo Gas

 

If you have been paying attention to all the United Nations hate speeches against the US this week,

then you are familiar with Venezuela's president Hugo Chavez.

 

In case you didn’t know it, Hugo Chavez and the former Iranian president both had public appearances in Harlem this week in a rally sponsored by Citgo Petroleum.

 

Why Citgo?

 

Did you know that the Citgo corporation is wholly owned by the Venezuelan government?

Did you know that according to NBC news, 15% of our gas comes from Venezuela and Citgo?

 

Does it make any sense that Americans buy anything from this petty dictator who blasts our President and our country while over 50% of his citizens live below the poverty level??

 

If you oppose this "open season" criticism of our country, please don’t buy Citgo gas or petroleum products.

With friends like them, who needs enemies?

 

I hope you will all avoid them permanently as long as Chavez is head of Venezuela.

The great news is that 7-11 discontinued their partnership with Citgo because of it.

Hey Warbird, this hurts but I must agree with you, NO more Citgo. I have been using Citgo for longer than I can remember. My wife thinks I am silly because I would pass up better prices to use Citgo. But the time to find something is NOW. I WILL do this.

We are the USA folks, the world has their hands in our pockets so we should demand respect.

No Citgo for me either.   What really surprized me is that Danny Glover is a Chavez lover.  Introduced Chavez at a rally in Harlem the day after he made the UN speach.  Think he is a good actor, but, don't think I'll be seeing any more of his movies.

There is a list out there claiming to show what gas is all American (I didn't know there was any) I'll see if I can find it.
If I recall correctly I believe Hess was on the list (there wasn't but 3 or 4 on the OK list).

Although we make alot of mistakes I still believe in supporting  our nation by buying 100% American products.  No more Citgo for me.  And I've never owned a foreign car.
