Sometimes medical technology is amazing but most times you wonder why they can't figure out how to deal with some puzzling disease or condition.  One thing is always certain tho, all new medical breakthroughs are first done in Europe.  Here in the U.S. its always "experimental" and your insurance won't cover it until the Europeans have established the statistical success of any new procedure, drug or treatment.  I hope for the long-term success of this medical miracle and may it help as "few" people as possible.

Steve, there was a front page write up in the Cleveland paper this morning. It actually was the headline story. This all happened two weeks ago. They showed a generalized mock-up picture. It was half face, half muscle tissue.   

A woman who had suffered severe facial trauma got essentially a whole new face in a first-of-its-kind operation at the Cleveland Clinic, hospital officials said Wednesday. Only the woman’s upper eyelids, forehead, lower lip and chin were left.
