Hey gang, I'd really appreciate any input I can get regarding which GPS to consider. I'd like to get the wife one for Christmas and $ is an issue. There is a lot out there and I can get the consumer reports but I'd sure like to hear from some of you folks who have used these already. Costco seems to have multiple models of the Garmin brand. What do ya think Question

I have an Alpine, and am completely satisfied.  Our address here at the store is kind of odd, but a couple of people with Garmin report they can't get it to accept this address.  But that may be one of those odd things like spelling out Highway vs Hwy.

Get the best Garmin that is affordable, you can spend about anything you want. I have an inexpensive old C330 and it works fine, better than the $2,000.00 nav system on my '04 CTS-V...

We've had a Garmin Nuvi 350 when they first came out. They were alot of money back then. But well worth it when we did travel. Periodically you can update the unit thru your PC at Garmins web site for a fee.

They have since then came way down in cost. The Nuvi 200 does very well at an affordable price.  My friend has the Nuvi 200 and loves it. RadioShack had the Nuvi 350 online for $109.00. That's $90 off the price.
Good luck!
