Interesting choice.  If McCain dies in office The U.S. will have the first female president in the oval office.  Hot and good looking, the question is: does she have the cajones to push the button if needed??

I was surprised like everyone elseShocked. I am trying to keep an open mind and look at the facts. What has she done while in-office and what are her principles. Time will tell on how well she holds up under pressure.

Being a social conservative I have a vary short list of things that are musts and a long list of things that I would like.

Top of the list is strict constitutionalist on the Supreme Court.  Secure the boarders and as a Christian Pro-Life.  Although I believe that last issue is a States Rights issue and not a Federal issue as it is now.

I also know that businesses make jobs and without jobs everyone is in trouble.  People need to realize that corporations and business do not pay taxes they pass along the cost of those taxes to the buying public.  If they cannot do that then they go out of business or go overseas to make their products.

Most really wealthy people put a good portion of their money in locations that they do not pay taxes on it.  Small business cannot normally to that so they get hit the hardest on taxes as do families that have two people working. So when they raise taxes they do it on small businesses and working families. Small businesses higher fewer people so now there are more unemployed.  At least that is what my friends had to do to stay competitive.

Illegal immigration has cost the construction industry good paying jobs as in California (my state) if you do not speak Spanish on a construction site you are at a disadvantage.

As a Six Sigma Black Belt I want to look at the facts and not feelings.

Sarah Palin – Campaigned against the establishment most of her short career.  Then she did something different she actually kept her campaign promises.  She reduced State spending on projects whose costs were not supported by the public good, vetoed earmarks, etc.

She is short on executive experience but has more than the Democratic ticket and John McCain put all together.  Which says more about who we are going to elect to run this country than it does about Sarah.

I personally would have liked to see a different person, but anyone that can raise children shoot moose, fish and run a state all the time keeping her husband happy seems to me to be one hell of a women.

For me she is on the correct side of the top two issues that make or break this country in my belief; Supreme Court, States Rights, illegal immigration and then the second high priority issues that shape us as humans Pro-life, family values, freedom to success and freedom to fail, etc.Tb2k82CE2008-08-30 17:11:16

It looks like a desperate move, thats the problem.

If  he cant stand up to the RNC then how can he deal with world leaders?

And if that was his best thinking I am worried.

I had hoped this sacred site of C3 enthusiasts was above politics. Guess not.

So  I have to ask myself if that strange looking guy I passed in the Prius who gave me the finger was a Republican or Democrat. Some people do not appreciate C3s or any other Corvette for that matter and a lot of them have Obama bumper stickers.

From a purely C3 perspective, who do we think will more likely keep the 93 octane coming?

Ken...you're rightThumbs%20Up and I hereby promise to never post or respond to any more political topics on C3VR.  Anyway the most important things in life are God, familiy, and friends.  Not politics.
Any women who has five children, lifetime NRA, likes to fish, can shoot and gut a moose, who is Governer of a state the size of Alaska. Makes a lot more since than a senator from Ill. who has spent 144 woking days in the senate voting present.
I am with you. I feel that all things considered Palin makes sense! The other choices he had brought little to the ticket. I feel that her experience far outweighs the left wing politics of Oboma. Lest also not forget that she is the Vice President, NOT the president. She would only take office in an unfortunate event, But the real unfortinate event would be to put the walking, talking, say anything to please everyone just so he can get in office, senator from my own state!!!Ouch
