I need to replace my Emerson condenser fan motor because apparently it has been spinning the wrong direction for years (if not forever - it is 11 years old).

Here are the specs on it:
Emerson Model K55HXPSS-7299 HP 1/5
VOLT 208-230  HZ 60  AMP 1.3  PH 1
R.P.M. 1075   THERMALLY PROTECTED
PT NO HQ1082641EM    MFG. NO. G98 8
INS CL B    AIR OVER CONT   FRAME 48Y
3 MFD
370 VAC
Capacitor
CSA
LR2459

It only has three wires - black, red & brown.

I was told I could replace it with a Emerson Rescue Motor 5465 (note the picture on this page is wrong...see below for actual motor pictures)

Specs are a match, however there are many more wires.  The orange and yellow are used to reverse direction.
There is a green for ground...the old one doesn't have that, so I have no clue where to run it.
There are 5 wires - brown, black, red, white & brown/white.  I have no idea how to determine which wires to run where.

Here are some pictures that may help you help me figure out how to wired the thing.

(Note, they are large, about 1MB each so you can see detail, if needed).

If anyone can tell me how to wire the Green and other wires correctly, I'd be very appreciative!

Thanks!

Apparently NOT!?
I wouldn't have a clue on this one. I know there are some folks that work in the HVAC business here. Imma tinkin there's a feller in Tennessee....
An regular electrician would be able to figure it out, too, I would tink.

Er...uh...Adam?  Might wanna check the links in yer post. All I get when I click on ANY of them is a new window opening right back to this page/thread...no pics...Ouch

These extra wire are more than likely for different voltages. I see the 5465 is also a two speed motor, so there are more wires for that. There should be a wiring guide somewhere on the motor to help you wire it correctly.

The green will be the ground.

Turns out, I found an answer to my problem. Two wires on the Capacitor were reversed. I switched them, now the fan spins correctly.  I'm going to return the new motor.
