I updated a couple of weeks ago, and I've had MAJOR issues that I have to attribute to the Firefox program. I ain't no 'puter

I gots DSL at the shop, and dial-up here at home. IT is taking FOREVER for pages to load at either place since updating. Also, when here on C3VR, when the pages start loading, instead of the little "icons" used for different things, like the

When I load a thread page, the sig pics "scroll" onto the page from the bottom up....very slowly...

It's not just a C3VR thing...my e-mail accounts have the same issues, as does any other site I go to...
I'm just wondering if the issue is with the new Firefox update, or...

Anyone elso having a problem since updating Firefox???

If so, should I revert back to the earlier version?
I guess I could try IE real quick just to see what happens...

I won't use IE at all...I updated to IE7 one time a couple of years ago, and had to immediately(a week later) revert back to the old IE6. IE7 was worse than 6 from the git-go, and up until NOW, Firefox has been killer for me. Super fast, and SECURE.
I did try to use IE the other night, but it's just slower than Kristmas to start with, so I can't tell if it's any different or not. I waited about 5 friggin minutes for JUST the 24hr Active Topics page to come up, and I gave up...it never loaded...which is why I started using Firefox to start with.
Why, oh WHY cain't they just leave stuff ALONE?!?!?

Firefox was werking just fine as it was....

I will add this little bit of info...it seems that once I've been on-line for aboot 15 minutes or so, the pages load quickly, and everything is where it's supposed to be...

My Ad-Watch 2008 is freekin out, tho, when I first get on-line...it logs over a MILLION "Registry Modification Detected" blocks in about 5 minutes!

While I'm on that subject, can anyone explain to me, in a language we can all understand, just what the HECK is it that is trying to modify my registry, and what the HECK is a registry to start with?
HEY!?!?! I just found THIS in my "Pictures" file...NO CLUE where it came from, but my protection software says it AIN"T GOOD to open it!

It is labeled "New Microsoft Office Document"....anyone know about something like this going around? I have noticed, this morning, and just now, I have a small triangle icon with an exclamation point in it

I did have a question because AVG antivrus was lisrted as a problem but after testing on a little used laptop I installed Forefox on all the computers...
IE....??? only on my machine so I can get updates from Microspend...otherwise I would not even have it on the computer... Outlook is gone and will never return ...

That didn't do anything with the Firefox issue, tho, but it did make the 'puter run a little faster.
Bob, what issues did you find out about AVG and the newer Firefox? I have AVG on both of these 'puters...perhaps that is the problem, eh? This shop 'puter is running AVG 8.0, but the one at home is the older AVG Free version, along with AGV Anti-Spyware.....
