This is not a "poor me" post, just a little venting or a "take that" kind of thing.

Lots of crappy stuff going on this past year, lost a job(still looking for a new one), kids screwing up, parents ill, now losing  the house.

Hey, I look at it this way. Lot of people lost their jobs this past couple of yrs.  Just gives me an chance to do something I like. Maybe back to school and get my teaching degree.  Open that restoration business my brother and I have been talking about for years.

Kids are gonna make mistakes. The most important thing is to learn from it and move on, not like their dad and make the same mistake a couple of times.

My dad is doing much better.  Miracle what they can do in surgery nowadays...and if he takes a turn for the worse, BIG PAYDAY for the insurance money.  That's a joke, really.

The house pisses me off.  I got caught in that mortgage debacle and after great debate they only want to raise my mortgage 300%.  Hey, maybe I'll finally buy that boat and live on that for a while.  Slip fees are an awful lot cheaper than property taxes.

I was having a moving sale and was offered a 57 bel air for my 81 Vette.  My 13 yr old daughter, the one who helps me with the vette all the time, gave me this look..."Don't even think about trading or selling the Vette!"

Dave C..........My mantra: I can not be bought!!      Long and short term leases available.

Yeah, I know, Shut up Dave.

I certainly feel for ya, brother. Lot's of folks in the same boat(no pun intended). Hate to hear it's happening to another "family" member, tho....

Very sorry to hear of your misfortune Dave. I'm sure it's no consolation but similar stories are being played out across the nation in abundance. It's really kinda scary to imagine how we're going to come out of this. This country has been down before even worse and come through it. You've got a good attitude. that's what it will take.

I agree with Jimmy, you have a great attitude and that is really important.
When you get a bunch of lemons, make lemonade.
Take the opportunity to make a change in your life.
These things always work out for the best in the long run.
Best of luck to you and your family.
