I have a brother in Jacksonville, Fla. He called tonight and said he was fillling up cause they started raising the prices cause they sent all the florida gas tanker around the horn to texas. The station manager came out and said tomorrow it's going up a dollar a gallonAngry

According to the Oil Company representative on the news this morning, it's not price gouging, because that's illegal.  It's just a demand adjustment...

I was surprised today to see Diesel selling for less than unleaded here in Indy today.

I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

WOW Thats a load of BS. I know we wnet up like 50 cents overnight. Its amazing how oil will drop but the price of gas wont and then when a "Natural Disaster" hits prices soar!

Locally the BP here leaked out that on Saturday they were going to raise theirs to $5.00 a gallon. They said this was the max amount the could raise it. It is based on speculation of demand not true demand. Which makes sense because NOTHING HAS HAPPENED YET!

This may come as a surprise to them but based on my SPECULATION if the government doesn't step in soon our country will be in a steaming pile of Shazbot soon if we don't get some control on this greed!

People need fuel to commute. Without fuel no work. Without work no buy goods and no pay bills. No pay bills stockholders get no pay. People go poor stockholders pay. Everybody grumpy..... Vicious Circle huh?

Gas was deregulated in the 70s

Can they screw it up worse than they already have?

Rhetorical question and the obvious answer is YES.  We need a do over box and a 1 term 6 year limit.  That would keep them from spending the first 4 years lobbying to get back in and the second 4 paying back the buy in.

Also, the do over means if you ran at all, you can't run in the do over.  The guy/gal that is in is in for 6 additional months and 6 months is all we get to run the process over.

My .02.  Apparently worth less this evening than this morning!
