What do you think of the Tesla? I am not sold on electric cars yet but I do like the way this one looks.

I saw that car on a TV program awhile back. Not a bad looking car. It performs very well from what they said. They need to somehow lower the cost down a bit to entice buyers. I would buy it. It sure beats the looks of a Prius. No offence to any Prius owners here. Just not my cup of tea.
Looks OK to me. Might be the wave of the future. I see oil is back at $100 a barrel. And for you Prius owners, they look OK to me. Also hear you will be able to "plug them in". Maybe starting in 2009???

i loike the looks of it. I didn`t hear what the cost was though. I think we`ll be going that way soon. especially for the every day grocery ghetter.

You may not like the Prius but we have one and it indeed gets 50 mpg. It is huge inside, very quiet and very comfortable. We love it. Do the math, it saves you money. Yes, it is ugly but so am I and my wife is used to both. OH6A 2008-01-04 17:03:42

OOHHHH,,That is such a good statement.

Now I know what to tell my wife when we go to the Toyota dealership...."Yes honey, it is ugly but so am I and you still allowed me to park in your garage.

Seriously though.....If I can be,,,,My neighbor has a Red one....not bad looking. I may wait to see if GM is going to get off the toilet on their Chevy Volt. It's supposed to be a great idea/car.
interesting stuffff.......Rich
An electric would be an ideal driver for me. 17 miles each way to work and home, times 5 days a week, plus errands on the weekends is about 200 miles a week. That's ten gallons or about $32 a week for gas right now.
I wonder how many kwh/mile do these cars average.
I suppose it depends on whether you have the heater on or not.

The big cost is when you go to RadioShack and replace the batteries.

That's NO JOKE!

I'm waitin' to see what comes out in the next 2 to 3 years or so........heck, I get 30+ in the C5 as it is now. Before I spend money on a new car, I want at least 70+ mpg before I buy.
