Vette(s): White '79 Corvette. It's a driver.
I just saw on the news that Wells Fargo Bank, a recent recipient of 25 Billion in bailout dollars, will continue thier annual executive winter trip out to Vegas.
Can you believe this???
The sorry answer is probably a collective, resigned "Yes."

How 'bout this;
A mob of taxpayers could greet them at the airport and follow them around the whole time they're out there. If any exec. wins a few bucks at the casino, he or she can give it back to us, the tax payers, with a thank you card.
Heck! I'd even lean over and take a bite of one of thier sandwiches at lunch time. Share and share alike!

I just dunno!

I saw on the tube this morning where they cancelled the Vegas trip because of bad publicity.  The fact that they had the audacity to schedule the thing in the first place is a good indicator of how they will spend the rest of OUR money.  This whole bail out BS should be called a HANDOUT.  Just like in the song, they got the gold mine and we got the shaft but is anyone surprisedThumbs%20Down

I used to work for WF.  That 'trip' has been a long standing annual event for many, many years and was not only for the execs but also the top performing employees got to go out for part of the timeframe as a reward for their most excellant service to the company.  Heard it was quite a shindig.

Wells Fargo & Co. is likely on the hook for hefty cancellation fees after abruptly scrapping its upcoming retreats to Las Vegas casinos.
